That time of the year has come again! After a couple of months of fun in the sun, fall is upon us, which means the layering has to start in order for us to be protected against the low temperatures. Layering is one of the most important things to do during fall and winter because it protects you from the cold while at least preparing you to not be stuck in heavy clothes at indoors spaces (and suffer from the heat along the way).
When we talk about accessories, as with anything in fashion, the options are so many that you can’t help but leave some of them behind. In the past couple of seasons we have been experiencing a hype for earrings, the bigger the better; an excitement that has been in a fierce competition with different types of necklaces, like chokers or layered necklaces (we talked about them in previous posts in case you want to check them out!). However, and even when some people do not notice them, bracelets are a colorful, fun choice for accessorizing that can serve many purposes we know you might not have thought of.
A casual choker, with beads or casual details, it’s an ideal piece for your t-shirts or cotton tops, including the summer pieces you like so much, as long as it matches your neckline. As we said in a previous blog post, a V-neck is the best combination for a choker, but you can also try a round neckline. However, and thinking about the upcoming months, a cool combination can come out ox mixing opposites: a choker over a turtleneck, especially a beaded colorful one might create a great look. Something a little more elaborated, like a golden or silver choker, as well as something with a small pendant, can work beautifully with an open collar buttoned shirt for work!
Every mom knows that there is a special joy in helping your kids to pick their clothes and even a bigger joy in helping them develop a particular style. Little kids tend to imitate the style of their parents, so surely there will be no surprises when your little ones tell you they want to start collecting accessories. And as scary as that can be (because, you know, they grow up so fast!), it is also a fun opportunity to create a new hobby with them, while also bonding as parents.
When pairing your top and your necklace, it is important to determine the type of neckline you’re wearing and also, the occasion. Because sometimes you don’t need a necklace, but earrings. Or a bracelet, or many bracelets. There are necklaces made for specific necklines, but it is necessary that you feel comfortable with your choice. If you look in the mirror and still have doubts, just change. However, the idea behind this post is giving you tips, so let’s get to it!
